Web subscription, cancellation, and refund terms

Operator and merchant. RetainerMeter Web is operated by Hernan Morales, a sole trader trading as RetainerMeter. Lemon Squeezy processes checkout and acts as merchant of record for the subscription transaction.

1. Trial and approved pilot access

The standard application trial starts after successful email verification and provides 30 days of full functionality without requiring a card. A written promotional or pilot approval may provide the approved account with a longer stated period, such as the 90-Day Founding Pilot. Neither is a card-based Lemon Squeezy trial, and neither creates an automatic charge.

2. Prices and renewal

The public price is $15 per month or $150 per year, charged in USD and inclusive of applicable customer tax. There is no setup fee or free tier. Subscriptions renew for the selected interval until cancelled. Lemon Squeezy is intended to act as merchant of record and displays the final checkout details.

3. Continuous-subscriber price

Early customers retain this public price while continuously subscribed. A cancelled customer who later returns pays the then-current public price.

4. Cancellation

Self-service cancellation stops future renewal but preserves full access through the recorded paid-through date. Buying Desktop does not cancel Web, and cancelling Web never revokes a permanent Desktop licence.

5. Grace and retention

After paid access ends, the account enters 14 days of read-only grace, followed by 30 days when the workspace is inaccessible but restorable by subscribing. Active workspace/authentication data is then deleted. Payment failure follows Lemon Squeezy's retry state and the authoritative paid-through date rather than browser state.

6. Refunds and statutory rights

Because the service includes a 30-day no-card trial, refunds are not normally offered for a period already used after the trial. Duplicate charges, material service failure, and refunds required by applicable law are handled. Where consumer law gives a right of withdrawal or another remedy, that right is not excluded by these terms. The checkout and confirmation information govern the transaction-specific price, interval, tax, and cancellation details.

7. Desktop credit

After a first successful, non-refunded Web payment, an account may receive one fixed $15 Desktop credit. It is the same for monthly and annual customers, is non-cumulative, permits one redemption, and does not stack with another Desktop discount. Checkout presents the lower eligible non-stacking price.

8. Desktop maintenance

Active paid Web can supply Desktop maintenance/update eligibility to a securely linked Desktop owner. Trial, grace, and retention do not. Eligibility ends at the Web paid-through date. A separate Desktop-maintenance subscription is shown to the owner but is never cancelled automatically.
